Crisis Resource Centers (CRCs) are community-based psychiatric crisis-intervention programs that provide recovery-focused assessment, stabilization, psychosocial groups, and peer support. Operating 24/7, they serve as an alternative to emergency rooms or inpatient hospitalization for individuals facing crises due to mental illness or substance abuse. CRCs offer timely access to mental health care, a trauma-informed approach, telehealth services, follow-up care, and access to behavioral and primary health care, all in a home-like setting.
