Dad Loved It.
The staff are all nice, pleasant, and helpful. But there's no registered nurse on site, so if anything happens, residents get sent to the ER, even if that means multiple trips. I assumed every facility would have at least one RN, since it's not a hospital. I didn't think to ask, and no one told me that a fall or any pain means a trip to the hospital. The paramedics actually said this place is known for constantly calling them to transport residents. They're also not very proactive. I've had to call again and again just to get things done. My family member is in memory care, and he doesn't seem to get much help. No one reminds him to use his walker at meals or around his room, and he gets little assistance with changing, brushing his teeth, or basic hygiene. When I moved him in, I signed up for extras like hairdressing every six weeks and TV and cable. There was paperwork for all of it, and none of it got handled until I called several times.
